What happens, if my smartphone does not work during a journey?

If during a journey, for a reason you are responsible for, your smartphone is not functioning correctly, and or is not able to communicate with the servers (e.g. flight mode on, location services deactivated, empty battery, activity tracking etc.) you are not fulfilling the requirement for the use of FAIRTIQ. Accordingly, your ticket will be INVALIDATED - you will be travelling WITHOUT a valid ticket.
Given your smartphone is only temporarily, and for a short period of time, not functioning correctly the system will continue in the backend.
