Why is EasyPay from Swisscom no longer available as a means of payment?

Due to approx. 5x higher transaction fees in addition to many payment defaults that were charged to FAIRTIQ, after discussions with Swisscom, we have decided to discontinue this service as of 30 September. Unfortunately this is a necessary decision to be able to economically operate our service in the future.

We recommend adding a secondary payment method today. FAIRTIQ offers the following payment options:

  • VISA
  • Mastercard
  • TWINT
  • Reka
  • PostFinance

If you do not have none of these payment methods, you will find some hints below:

  • TWINT is offered by most Swiss banks. This solution is directly linked to your account. If your bank does not offer this service, you can use "Prepaid TWINT" to top up your credit in advance.
  • There are simple and inexpensive ways to purchase a prepaid credit card. For example, OK kiosks offer this service for CHF 39.
  • There are many ways to get a free credit card such as the Cumulus Mastercard from Migros or the Supercard credit card from Coop.
  • There are also free digital bank apps that you can use to get a prepaid credit card: for example, the Swiss Startup Neon, the German Startup N26 or the English Startup Revolut.
