First things first
To start a seamless FAIRTIQ journey, you need to have a valid payment method securely linked to your account.
Without a valid payment method, you won’t be able to start your next FAIRTIQ journey.
Step-by-step
Follow these simple steps:
- Open the FAIRTIQ app
- Go to the menu ☰ and tap “Payment”
- Select the correct payment profile “Personal” or “Work”
- Tap “Add payment method”
You can ignore expired payment methods and remove them later. - Select your primary travel region
- Choose your preferred payment method
- Follow the on-screen instructions
When adding a debit or credit card, you will be redirected to your bank for authentication (“3D Secure”). -
All set! Your payment method is now linked to your account.

Which payment methods are available?
To check which payment methods are available in your region, open the FAIRTIQ app > Menu ≡ > Payment > Add payment method > select your region > continue.

- PostFinance, add as a card (use the number on the front, not the back) or TWINT
*Maestro and VPay cards cannot be used, as they do not support online payments.
