If you and/or an accompanying person already have a monthly pass or a JobTicket in the VVO and would like to use the FAIRTIQ app for connecting trips, you can store the validity area of your monthly pass in the app. When calculating the fare, the app will take your monthly pass into account.
Differences from the fare regulations of the VVO, ZVON and Deutschlandtarif
Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to take all fare regulations of the VVO, ZVON and Deutschlandtarif into account when calculating the best price. The following exceptions therefore apply:
The reduced fare is calculated for all passengers aged between 6 and 14. Free travel for kindergarten children cannot currently be taken into account.
Tip: Is your child 7 years old and still attending kindergarten? In that case, they travel free of charge within the VVO and ZVON fare areas. For journeys made exclusively within these two fare areas, you therefore do not need to add your child as companion in the app.
The free travel for children included with certain tickets cannot currently be taken into account. This applies to:
- VVO and ZVON day tickets at the standard fare
- Sachsen-Tickets
- Regio120-Tickets
- trilex day tickets
- Katzensprung tickets
- distance-based standard-fare tickets under the Deutschlandtarif
We are currently working on making this available in the future.
If you add a dog for your journey, a ticket will always be calculated. The app cannot detect whether your dog is travelling in a closed transport carrier. Under the ZVON and Deutschlandtarif fare regulations, dogs in a closed transport carrier may travel free of charge.
Tip: Are you travelling with your dog in a closed transport carrier exclusively within the ZVON or Deutschlandtarif fare area? In that case, you do not need to add the dog for your journey.
If you select a bike for your journey, a ticket will always be calculated. Unfortunately, the app cannot detect whether your bike can be transported free of charge, for example if it is folded and carried as hand luggage or if it is a child's bike.
Tip: If you transport your bike folded as hand luggage, do not add a bike for your journey. However, if you wish to take a tandem bike with you, add two bikes.
Multi-person tickets, multi-trip tickets and entitlements for additional passengers, dogs and bicycles linked to stored season tickets are currently not taken into account when calculating the fare.
