Quick rule to stay safe:
1. Check the sender. FAIRTIQ only sends emails from feedback@fairtiq.com, hello@fairtiq.com, privacy@fairtiq.com & monitoring@fairtiq.com.
2. If FAIRTIQ asks you to do something important, complete the action inside the FAIRTIQ app, not online.
3. If there is a link in the message. look at the part before the first “/”. It must clearly be fairtiq.com or <something>.fairtiq.com. If not, the link is not from FAIRTIQ.
1. Check the sender of the email
FAIRTIQ only sends important messages from a small number of trusted addresses. If a message comes from any other address. it is very likely not from us.
FAIRTIQ uses these official sender addresses:
feedback@fairtiq.com
hello@fairtiq.com
privacy@fairtiq.com
monitoring@fairtiq.com
These examples are not real FAIRTIQ senders:
support@fairtiq-app.com
service@fairtiq-team.com
billing@fairtiq-mail.com
no-reply@fairtiqq.com
contact@id-fairtiq.com
notification@fairtiq-info.com
updates@fairtiq-api.com
Scammers often use addresses that look similar, and the differences can be very small. Always take a moment to look carefully.
2. If FAIRTIQ asks you to take an action
FAIRTIQ may sometimes inform you by email that an action is required. This can include accepting new terms and conditions, adding a new payment method or choosing a new login method.
Even if we inform you by email. the action must always be completed inside the FAIRTIQ app. You should never perform the action through a link in the email*.
*The only exception: we sometimes send out surveys to complete via Typeform (You'll never be asked to login or provide sensitive information).
If an email asks you to update your payment details. confirm your identity or change your login by clicking a link. it is not from FAIRTIQ.
3. How to check if a link is really from FAIRTIQ
When you receive a link, look at the part of the address before the first “/”. This simple check can protect you from scams. If the address before the first “/” does not clearly end with .fairtiq.com. it is safer to treat the link as fake.
Examples of real FAIRTIQ links:
These are safe because the part before the first “/” ends with .fairtiq.com.
https://fairtiq.com/…
https://www.fairtiq.com/…
https://go.fairtiq.com/…
https://help.fairtiq.com/…
https://info.fairtiq.com/…
We, also, use "Typeform" as a service: URLs are fairtiq.typeform.com/...
➡️ Before clicking, please check the actual destination of the link. If in doubt, copy paste the link into your browswer manually.
Examples of fake links:
These are not from FAIRTIQ because the part before the first “/” does not end with fairtiq.com.
https://fairtiq-app.com/…
https://app-fairtiq.com/…
https://fairtiq-team.com/…
https://id-fairtiq.com/…
https://fairtiq-info.com/…
4. If the message feels strange
Fake messages often try to scare you or push you to act quickly. They may contain spelling mistakes or unusual wording. If something feels wrong. stop and check the sender and the link.
5. When in doubt, ask us
If a message or link looks unclear, you can always ask us. Send us a message from your FAIRTIQ app with the keyword "phishing" and we will tell you if it is real or fake.
