Everyone aged 6+ can buy tickets with FAIRTIQ in Slovakia (ZSSK domestic rail network)
Everyone aged 6 and over can buy tickets with FAIRTIQ in Slovakia for the ZSSK domestic rail network.
Children under the age of 6 can travel free of charge if accompanied by a supervisor (at least 16 years old) and do not require a ticket.
Discounts are available based on age and based on official ZSSK discount cards.
Discounts based on age
- Children from 6 to 15 years of age (until one day before your 16th birthday)
- Seniors aged over 70 years
These discounts are calculated based on the date of birth.
Age must be confirmed with an official photo ID.
Discount cards available in FAIRTIQ
The following official ZSSK discount cards can be added in the FAIRTIQ app as a “card”. Eligibility and discount conditions are defined by the ZSSK tariff regulations.
KLASIK
For adults who own a KLASIK card and are entitled to a 25% discount.

For non-students under the age of 26 who own a JUNIOR card and are entitled to a 25% discount.

Issued by the Central Office of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic, including:
- holders of a ŤZP card (person with a disability)
- holders of a ŤZP-S card (person with a disability accompanied by an assistant)
How to activate a discount?
By tapping your name on the app home screen, you open the ticket settings menu where you can add the available discounts.
Alternatively, you can access the ticket settings via the app menu.
