Before you check-in in the FAIRTIQ app, you must select the correct region. This has an influence on the validity of your ticket.
If you select "RVL Regio Verkehrsverbund Lörrach" as the region, you will receive a valid ticket for the entire network of the Regio Verkehrsverbund Lörrach for travel by train, train, bus, etc. The ticket will be charged in EUR. It will be charged in EUR. Please note that within the RVL Lörrach region you can also travel by train from and to Basel Bad and Basel SBB. The interconnected area extends from Feldberg to Basel SBB. If you choose "Switzerland and Liechtenstein" as your region, you will receive a valid ticket for the whole of Switzerland. This ticket will be charged in CHF.
Please note that data roaming has to be active when you travel internationally.
Special case Basel SBB and Basel Bad Bf:
As the stations Basel SBB and Basel Bad Bf are located in the Swiss FAIRTIQ Region as well as in the FAIRTIQ Region RVL, both regions are available here. Please make sure that you have selected the correct region for your purposes when checking in.
