*How does the weekly maximum fare work in FAIRTIQ?
A weekly maximum fare applies to all journeys within a calendar week (Monday to Sunday), based on the journey route. All journeys made after the weekly cap has been reached and within the same calendar week are charged at €0.00. The weekly pass expires at 04.00 on the following Monday.
Why is the weekly maximum fare limited to calendar weeks?
Analyses have shown that the highest number of consecutive journeys are made within a calendar week (Monday to Friday). Furthermore, there are currently still technical obstacles to offering the weekly pass across calendar weeks via FAIRTIQ. For this reason, the weekly best price is currently limited to the calendar week. We are working on making the weekly best price even more flexible in future.
