Welcome to the FAIRTIQ guide for using our app in the Eastern Saxony region! This article gives you an overview of the basics you need to know to get started with FAIRTIQ in the VVO and ZVON.
You can use FAIRTIQ for journeys within the Verkehrsverbund Oberelbe (VVO) and the Verkehrsverbund Oberlausitz-Niederschlesien (ZVON), as well as for journeys between both transport associations.

The following payment methods are available in VVO and ZVON:

Children and adults can use the FAIRTIQ app to buy tickets. The registered person can travel with the app and add one accompanying person (child or adult) for a fee. Based on the date of birth entered during registration, FAIRTIQ automatically recognises whether the reduced fare or the adult fare applies.

The companion function is available for a maximum of 1 accompanying person, 5 bicycles and 5 dogs.

Various 2nd class tickets can be purchased via FAIRTIQ, including single trip tickets, day passes and selected tickets for ferries and mountain railways. Availability depends, among other things, on the fare area and the selected route.
If you and/or the accompanying person already have a monthly pass or a JobTicket in VVO and would like to use the FAIRTIQ app for connecting trips, you can store the validity area of your monthly pass in the app. When calculating the fare, the app will take your monthly pass into account.
Important: Multi-person tickets, multi-trip tickets and entitlements for additional passengers, dogs and bicycles linked to stored season tickets are currently not taken into account when calculating the fare.

Important rules
- The travel authorisation is always personal and non-transferable for the person registered in the FAIRTIQ app.
- The FAIRTIQ ticket is only valid with an official photo ID.
- FAIRTIQ must be activated before boarding the means of transport.
- Transfers are permitted.
- The fare regulations and conditions of carriage of the VVO and ZVON apply.
