Summary

Sometimes you may accidentally create a new FAIRTIQ account instead of logging into your existing one. You can either continue using the new account or return to your original one.

Sometimes, instead of logging in to your existing FAIRTIQ account, you might accidentally create a brand new one. This can happen now that FAIRTIQ offers several different login options (E-Mail, Apple, Google).

How do I know if I created a new account?

If the FAIRTIQ app asked you to enter your name and payment method, that means you started a brand new account instead of logging into your original one.

What can you do?

You have two options:

Keep the new account

It’s a valid means of travel. Just note that you will receive all emails twice and lose your history (e.g. journeys, payment history, or eventual credits).

Recover your original account
  1. Go to Settings in the FAIRTIQ app
  2. Select Delete account for the mistakenly created one
  3. If deletion doesn’t work (e.g. because you just traveled), simply log out
  4. Log back in using the login method of your original account
