Discover the Halland Region with FAIRTIQ – Simple and Uncomplicated
Welcome to FAIRTIQ's guide to using our app in the Halland region! This article provides an overview of the basics you need to know to get started with FAIRTIQ in Halland.

You can use FAIRTIQ for journeys within all of Hallandstrafiken’s eight zones. The ticket is valid on all Hallandstrafiken buses and trains within the Halland region. Special transport is not included in this pilot project.
If traveling to neighboring traffic areas or counties, buy your ticket in one of Hallandstrafiken other sales channels.
The following means of payment are available to pay in Halland:
- Credit card (Visa, Mastercard),
- Apple Pay,
- Google Pay

Every passenger must download the FAIRTIQ app and register individually. Tickets are personal and linked to the registered account.
Companion mode is not available in Halland. Each traveler needs to use their own FAIRTIQ app account to purchase a ticket.
With FAIRTIQ in Halland, you don’t need to select a ticket in advance. The correct fare is calculated automatically at the end of your trip based on the number of zones you traveled through.
- Single tickets within Hallandstrafiken’s zones
- Daily price cap equivalent to a 24-hour ticket
The more you travel, the cheaper your journeys become thanks to the FAIRTIQ bonus:
- 3 travel days/month: 10% discount on all journeys until the next level
- 7 travel days/month: 15% discount on all journeys until the next level
- 11 travel days/month: 20% discount on all journeys for the rest of the month
In addition, there is a daily price cap — you will never pay more than the price of a 24-hour ticket, no matter how many journeys you make in one day.
Important Regulations
- The travel authorization is always personal (non-transferable) for the person registered in the FAIRTIQ app.
- The FAIRTIQ ticket is valid only with an official photo ID.
- FAIRTIQ must be activated before boarding the means of transport.
- Smart Stop can help you automatically end your journey if you forget to swipe.
- The tariff regulations and transportation conditions of Hallandstrafiken apply.
