Welcome to FAIRTIQ's guide to using our app in the Buskerud region! This article provides an overview of the basics you need to know to get started with FAIRTIQ in Buskerud.

🗺️ Area of validity

You can use FAIRTIQ for journeys across the entire Brakar validity area within the Buskerud region. The app automatically calculates the correct fare based on the distance traveled.

💳 Means of payment

The following means of payment are available in Buskerud:

  • Credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard)
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay

👤 Passengers

Every passenger must download the FAIRTIQ app and register individually. Tickets are personal and linked to the registered account.

In Buskerud, FAIRTIQ applies the following fare structure:

  • Adult fare (standard rate)
  • Youth fare (up to 18.99 years): 50% of the adult fare
  • Senior fare (from 67 years): 50% of the adult fare
🚴‍♂️ Traveling with a bike

FAIRTIQ also allows you to buy a bike ticket within Buskerud. Simply use FAIRTIQ as usual and select the bike option before starting your trip.

Please note that Companion Mode (buying tickets for others) is not available in Buskerud. Each traveler must use their own FAIRTIQ account.

🎟️ Available tickets

With FAIRTIQ in Buskerud, you don’t need to select a ticket in advance. The correct fare is calculated automatically at the end of your trip based on the distance you traveled: not by zone.

FAIRTIQ does not sell zone-based tickets. All prices are calculated dynamically based on the total travel distance.

Important Regulations

  1. The travel authorization is always personal (non-transferable) for the person registered in the FAIRTIQ app.
  2. The FAIRTIQ ticket is valid only when shown together with an official photo ID.
  3. FAIRTIQ must be activated before boarding the means of transport.
  4. Smart Stop (or automatic journey end) can help if you forget to end your trip manually.
  5. The tariff regulations and transportation conditions of Brakar apply.
