FAIRTIQ is valid on all local public transport services within the Rhein-Mosel Transport Association (VRM).

Children and adults can use the FAIRTIQ app to purchase tickets. Children aged 6 to 14 years (from their 6th birthday until the day before their 15th birthday) and adults can use the FAIRTIQ app to buy tickets. FAIRTIQ automatically recognises, based on the date of birth entered during registration, whether the child fare still applies or whether the adult fare is already valid.

The companion feature is available for a maximum of 1 accompanying person. All accompanying passengers pay according to their age.

Important regulations
- The travel authorisation is always personal (non-transferable) for the person registered in the FAIRTIQ app.
- A valid ID card must be carried for identification when travelling with FAIRTIQ.
- The journey must be started before boarding the means of transport (check-in). Change-overs (transfers) are permitted.
- The tariff regulations and transportation conditions of VRM apply.
